WHAT WE DO
At The Stables we believe that you have to earn what you get. We will never give you a blue ribbon for participation, but the participation is a requirement….A requirement, to learn the sweet science properly, to get your mind focused and to get that body lean! We have been training fighters and fitness enthusiasts for well over 20 years, so we may know a few things…If you truly want to learn authentic boxing along with the training principles and workout that goes along with this beautiful sport, you have found the right place!
As Boxing purists, we make sure you are actually learning the sweet science while getting an amazing workout. Jumping rope, shadowboxing, bag work, conditioning drills, ab work and even hitting the speed bag are included in this traditional boxing class. Yes, we said SPEED BAGS!
BOXING & BARBELLS
Why just do one or the other when you can have them both! We have created the perfect synergy between two time-tested sports: Boxing & Weight Training. Our specially formatted class will take you through new Combos of The Day and build those muscles with specific weight training exercises. This is a fast-passed workout with little rest!
This class is only taught by the OG founder of PTB, Cary Williams. She will add to your boxing repertoire with advanced combos, footwork, drills, bag work, etc. Most of this training is based off of having an opponent in front of you. This will prepare you for SPARRING, which is occasionally a part of the advanced class if all students are ready and willing. Pow!
Prerequisite: 20 Boxing and/or Boxing & Barbells classes and coaches’ approval.

Welcome to The Stables Boxing Club!
If you are brand new to our club you MUST watch the first 3 basic boxing videos provided here. Yes, even if you “have boxed before”. OK, well if you have actually stepped into the ring and competed, you can bypass the videos.
BEGINNER BOXING YT PLAYLIST WATCH NOW
CHECK-IN: 20 minutes before class. This is a MUST to get in your mini boxing clinic. If you are late, your coach may have you reschedule.
PARK: Back lot or street parking
ENTRANCE: MUST Come in through the back door.
WEAR: Workout clothes & shoes.
BRING: Water and a towel. We aint yo mamma!
NO WORRIES: We got you! After filling out our waiver we will help you get wrapped up and start your mini clinic. The goal with the clinic is to make sure you have the basic footwork, punches and movement on bag. All of this will ensure that you have the best first experience possible!
NOTICE: Be sure to give us a 12 hour minimum notice to cancel any classes or you will be charged for that class.
In the Spring of 2018, my husband and I took a trip to visit his family and we all went to the beach. My mother-in-law took photos and of course tagged me in all of them on Facebook. Reviewing these images, I was mortified and quickly hid them and removed the tags. That was it. I started trying to lose weight and get into shape. I tried a few online programs, diets, and apps. I joined a gym and soon fell into the same patterns as before as I began to pay my “fat tax,” what I called my gym membership when I didn’t use it.
I then began searching for a better option and Googled my way to boxing classes. I saw one on Google Maps with a group of happy women as the main image. I had found Cary, and the Stables. Reading through the reviews, I saw things like “Cary will kick your ass into shape” and a lot about this “tough love” attitude. I knew that’s exactly what I needed. After all, those women in the photo were happy! So, I contacted her and did my first introductory class. Cary was clearly accomplished in the sport, as magazine articles lined the walls. As famous as she seemed to be, she wasn’t there in full makeup or expensive gear. She was straight-up, down-to-earth, straightforward, and didn’t play around with technique. I felt like I was in good hands, and trusted her to really teach the sport, not just provide a workout. We also laughed and had fun with it, so I could see a great mix of learning and fun that was sure to keep me motivated. I bought a membership, gloves, wraps, and a jump rope on the spot. I was sold!
Within the first 6 weeks I lost 10 pounds and have kept it off. I have never felt healthier!
